There are many things that you need to protect your children from, but you might relax a bit when you are in your own home, thinking that it is the safest place for them. While you do have more control over their environment at home, this doesn’t always lead to a safer environment. Say, for example, that you have a trampoline in the backyard. While it seems like it could be harmless fun, there are many ways that your child could be seriously injured on a trampoline, and in fact, there are hundreds of thousands of injuries every year.

The most common cause for injuries is having more than one person on the trampoline at once. Another common cause is when someone falls off the trampoline due to there not being protective netting installed around it, or the netting being faulty or broken.

You should instruct your children never to jump onto the trampoline from a tall object, such as, a nearby window, roof or tree. This could send them flying off the trampoline.
